Personalized Bar/Bat Mitzvah Experiences with Rabbi Sharon
"Traditional or creative- coming-of-age ceremonies as unique as your child."
I love teaching, and helping a child grow toward Bar or Bat Mitzvah is one of the most meaningful parts of my work. I create inclusive, personalized experiences for families of all backgrounds, including interfaith families, whether you are celebrating locally or planning a destination event.
Each journey is shaped around your child, your family, and your goals. Some students follow a more traditional path with Hebrew, Torah reading, prayers, and a D’var Torah. Others need or prefer a more creative approach.
For students seeking a non-traditional path, I offer a meaningful 13-point project in which the student explores how Judaism can be part of their life. They might study Jewish holidays, values, social justice, community, or connect Jewish learning to a personal passion such as sports, music, art, nature, or history. Hebrew and Torah reading can be included, but they are not required.
With extensive experience supporting children of all abilities, including those with learning differences or emotional challenges, I work to ensure that every student feels seen, supported, and proud of their accomplishment.
Family involvement is always encouraged, and every ceremony is created with the goal of being thoughtful, authentic, and meaningful for your child.
